Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills or staining) in one time without the need to change devices. They can also help save storage space compared to having two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot should have impressive navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bin, refill their water tank, and wash their mopping pads using a dedicated dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its low cost and is one of the most simple robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start manual gets you up and running in no time. You'll have a the complete dust bag, water tank and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly application that lets you pick the exact kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

You could, for instance ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. The only problem is that it tends to hit objects and walls at full speed. However, a quick look at the history of cleaning on the app will reveal precisely what the robot has accomplished, where it's going, and which obstacles he has run into or avoided.
A convenient LCD screen on the docking station tells the maintenance tasks that must be completed like emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time as well, with the mop being able to operate for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is simple to use and intuitive and lets you view all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's most popular robot mop and vacuum, is the most recent version. Unlike last year's model it comes with two agitators in its mopping pad which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to remove fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could miss.
This Roborock model, just like the other two I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it avoid obstacles such as furniture, walls, and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by having a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they're a wall or another type of surface. It will then automatically alter its path and clean them without skipping a beat.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've examined, but it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek and angular design is eye-catching and it has just three physical buttons that include the power button that also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can return the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin automatically refills.
The only drawback I could find in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to remove the mount for washing manually. I've found that any plush carpet the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of clever features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and set up these smart features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's life. You'll need to jump through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how well-performing it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with cutting-edge features, high suction power and advanced mowing abilities. Its innovative design allows for customised and efficient cleaning while also saving time.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the best alternatives available. This powerful vacuum cleans up dry mess, including pet hair and dust. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors sparkling clean, even with a wet pad. Additionally the X40 is very quiet during operation, only producing occasional bursts of noise when switching between modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.
The X40 also has a side brush that can be extended and lifted. This lets it reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean furniture with curved edges like chairs and table legs. The robot is also able to reach under furniture with low profile which makes it a great option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that allows the X40 to prevent damage to floors from repeated back-and-forth movements.
Contrary to other robots which solely focus on one task, the X40 can perform both vacuuming and mopping at the same time or separately. More Material can also be programmed to avoid areas with carpets and mop only hard floors or vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.
The app is user-friendly and easy to use and the X40's clever features are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, change modes, look at floor plans and maps and manage mopping setting. The X40 will also keep track of its progress, and alert you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to clean and has numerous features that make it a perfect choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, washes mop pads and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It can also detect if the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and notify you of the situation before it spills.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive on the market and comes with numerous extra features that set it apart. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature in its mop, utilizes two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can remove pet hair and other small dirt particles and also pick up spills and wet spots.
The mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This is a fantastic feature as it stops the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen before on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.
There's an impressive amount of settings available which include the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a variety of preferences. The app lets you define these preferences, or utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a number of options for customising your cleaning routine. It also comes with many functions that are not available on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and elegant. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list, at 4kg however it's not overly heavy, and is sturdy and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors as well as in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
